3D laser scanning is an inevitable part in the BWTS and EGCS projects. At the beginning it was implemented in the bwts project because engineers knew that it is impossible design/ work with something especially like the retrofitting projects with lots of pipelines and existing structures involved. Now scanning is requested by the owners just to understand on site situation, which gives more information beyond pictures or words.
